Huge and heartfelt thanks to all the amazing and generous volunteers from all over the state and beyond who have helped with the clean up effort on River St in Bethel. I don't know how we would have made it these past four weeks without the kindness, compassion and labor of so many wonderful and caring folks. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you to all who helped me and my family, this hurricane was by far one of the worst things that has happened to us. Your generosity and compassion was far and beyond what I ever expected.

Thank You
Lizz

Since our Waterbury home was flooded, my husband and I have been overwhelmed by the support and help we have received from our local friends and family. Everyone has pitched in, aiding in a wide range of tasks, including cleaning/storing our mud-covered belongings, assisting in cleaning/gutting/drying our house, setting up a fund-raising website for us, providing free housing, and (in the case of my brother Seth) creating this website. We have also received help from strangers, including Paige from Gardener's Supply, who painstakingly scrubbed all the mud out of our refrigerator, and Kevin, Julia, and Allison from NRG Systems, who sprayed our house down with moldicide. It's going to take a while to rebuild our house and get to a point where we can move back in, but luckily we have friends, family, and (I'm sure) volunteers to help with that, too.

I was born in Vermont and have always loved this state, but I don't think I ever truly appreciated our community until now. Thank you, Vermonters, for your heart, your strength, and your love for your neighbors.
